The party starts before the party, right? Before heading to the Dusk Music you and your crew are going to need a place to rally and get fueled up. We’ve lined up seven awesome spots to meet up with your squad and grab a bite or a brew before heading to Dusk Music Festival. Drink responsibly and be sure to take a lyft to the festival if you do grab drinks before hand.

1. Union Public House

Beer and Bites. With 11 menu items that are made to share, we can’t think of a better place to pre-Dusk with a large group than Union Public House. Fill your table with beers and shareable snacks and get the party started.

2. HUB Restaurant and Ice Creamery

Eat, drink, and cool down with ice cream at the newly renovated Hub. Located in historic downtown Tucson, this spot is ideal for rounding up your homies. We recommend trying the Wake Me Up Before You Go Go cocktail, a combo of dickle rye whiskey, house-made vanilla-chai syrup, cream, angostura bitters, and cold-brew coffee. It’s the perfect pick-me-up for the festival.

HUB Restaurant and Ice Creamery is located at 266 Congress St. More information at hubdowntown.com.

3. Reforma

One word: Tequila. If you and your mates need some shots before hand, Reforma is the place to go. Did we mention it’s walking distance to Rillito Park? Nosh on delicious Mexican food, margs, and more while getting ready to see Orketsa Mendoza and other Dusk festival artists.

Reforma is located at 4310 N. Campbell Ave. More information at reformatucson.com.

4. Illegal Pete’s

Illegal Pete’s has been a long time supporter of local musicians, which makes them a perfect spot to rally before Dusk, which feature local musicians like Lando Chill. They serve mission-style Mexican food, have a full bar, and are great for a quick bite before an epic night of music.

Illegal Pete’s is located at 876 E. University Blvd. More information at illegalpetes.com.

5. Empire Pizza & Pub

What’s better than sharing a pizza with friends? Being able to share it with them before and during the Dusk Music Festival! That’s right, Empire Pizza will be slinging pies at during the festival. For those of you looking to double down on your pizza/ beer intake, this one’s for you.

Empire Pizza & Pub is located at 137 Congress St. More information at empire.pizza.
